Taste the Flavours of Van Gogh! Several restaurants in Gelderland celebrate Van Gogh year 2015 with specially developed Smaak van Van Gogh (Flavour of Van Gogh) menus inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s paintings and prepared with delicious regional products from the Veluwe.
The world-famous Kröller-Müller Museum in Ede-Otterlo is surrounded by excellent restaurants. If you visit the province of Gelderland in Van Gogh year 2015, we recommend the Flavours of Van Gogh menus served at some of these restaurants in addition to their general menu. The special menus are served from January through December 2015 and are inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s paintings, which means that at least three ingredients found in his work are incorporated into every course. The Flavours of Van Gogh menus also revolve around regional products from the Veluwe. Restaurants in Gelderland that cook in the spirit of Van Gogh use the special Smaak van Van Gogh logo.
Flavours of Van Gogh restaurants in Gelderland
Several restaurants in Gelderland elaborated on the Van Gogh flavour profiles developed by culinary specialist Christiaan Weij from Ede to create their Flavours of Van Gogh lunch menu. They will also present a dinner menu in the near future. The Flavours of Van Gogh lunch menus include at least three ingredients inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s works. All chefs rely primarily on regional products to create their lunch menus.
